The Big Blue Handball Open Singles event had 56 entries. Joe Durso beat Eddie Golden in 3 games to win the title. Joe beat Buddy Shapiro and Eddie beat Albert Apuzzi to earn their place in the finals. See the draw sheet below for the scores.
As a courtesy to the best players I seeded the top 8 players in this division. When the rest of the field reached the quarter finals these 8 players entered and it became a second round of 16.
